About Us

Regen-Hydraco Overview

Regen-Hydraco Precision Hydraulics was registered and began trading from Bulawayo in January 1989.The Company was 100 % Zimbabwe owned and set up by the writer, Mr Edward Brett Holloway. Following the initial set up and national marketing program, the need for a first world Hydraulic Service and workshop facility within Zimbabwe soon became a major priority. It was imperative that the Zimbabwe Company represent the leading Hydraulic Manufacturers and suppliers within the Southern African region.

To accomplish this, the agency of Vickers was sought and eventually granted by the Sales Director of Vickers Systems RSA, Mr Paul Coetzer in 1991.Once the Vickers product was being marketed and supported within Zimbabwe, the project of setting up a first world workshop repair and manufacture facility began and our first workshop facility was registered in 1992.

With the Vickers product and technical support and with a fully equipped workshop to facilitate repairs, we focused our energies into the setting up of Regen-Hydraco branches within strategic growth areas. Our first branch was set up in the country’s capital city of Harare, soon followed by a branch in the coal mining region of Hwange.

The workshop and marketing success prompted Mr Holloway to build an unparalleled workshop facility within Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. To achieve this, my team and I purchased and custom built, from 2002 – 2005, a facility that would meet our repair and re-manufacturing needs, plus sustain medium to long term growth within the workshops, direct product sales and stock storage.

We have constantly strived to be the very best within our field of expertise and recognition of this has been received from all our customers and trading partners. Further recognition was achieved by our peers, when Sandvik Zimbabwe, leased premises from us with a view to forming a trade partnership in respect of all their repairs relevant to all the mining equipment under the Sandvik umbrella.. Regen-Hydraco’s workshop facility was recently used as a model workshop in the presentation of a quarterly paper and meeting by the Association of Mine Engineers Zimbabwe.

During the company’s building process, we took into account the economic potential and constraints within the Zimbabwe Sector and concluded that given our facilities, technical support staff and growth requirements it was imperative that we add additional product lines of a technical nature that could be marketed and supported by the same staff and facilities. Products that would enhance our visibility within Zimbabwe, and maintain our high standard of professionalism.

Regen-Hydraco sought and were awarded the sole distribution for Klinger Mzanzi in 1995, relative to all their pump and valve packing, gasketing and jointing materials. This marriage has been rewarded with total loyalty from both companies and the Klinger product range is now a well recognised and respected brand name within Zimbabwe, to the extent that manufacturing and local customer supply contracts have been signed to cover the next 3 – 5 years.

Regen-Hydraco were awarded the agency of Dual Valves Pvt Ltd accompanied by the “Sole Zimbabwe Distributorship” for the entire BMG Group retail product range in 2010.

Regen-Hydraco has been loyal to its principal suppliers and under the leadership of Brett Holloway accompanied by the team’s loyalty, respect and mutual support have carried Hydraco and all the staff through years of economic turmoil with inflation reaching levels never before seen, and have succeeded in becoming a leader in the Mining, Industrial and Agricultural sector within Zimbabwe and the Southern Africa Region.
